2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trim Comparison
When discussing the 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500, it’s easy to forget the heritage that comes with it. With its lineage extending all the way back to 1960, the Silverado has its fingerprints all over the current full-size pickup landscape. In a progression that has extended over more than fifty years, the reigning North American Truck of the Year arrives at Harbin Automotive with a variety of trims and options, each of which offers something special for Alabama drivers. In this 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trim Comparison, we’ll focus on the most popular trims, the LS, LT and LTZ. (Work Truck and the luxurious High Country trims are also available.)
As a perfect blend of functionality and capability, the 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS suits the needs of a great many drivers. Available with the choice of either the 4.3L EcoTec3 V6 or a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, drivers can choose to enjoy either the most torque of any standard V6 or the most fuel-efficient gas V8 ever found in a pickup. Additionally, the LS offers many creature comforts that appeal to area drivers: the Chevy MyLink system with a 4.2-inch display, an OnStar 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot, and remote keyless entry. Additionally, the LS is outfitted with chrome front and rear bumpers, a chrome grille, heated power-adjustable exterior mirrors, and comes with three months of SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
With various cab styles, bed lengths and interior options, the Silverado 1500 LS is among our top sellers at Harbin Automotive.
Looking for Exceptional Style and Power? Find it in the Silverado 1500 LT and LTZ
When a driver chooses the LT or LTZ trim, they get more than just a greater degree of features--they also enjoy the option of upgrading to the Z71 package. The Z71 adds off-road suspension, hill descent control, all-terrain tires and most notably, the attractive Z71 apparance package with brushed metal door plates, a reformed chrome grille, and a unique gauge cluster.
Regardless of whether or not you opt for the Z71 package, both the LT and LTZ trims are each nicely outfitted in their own right. The LT adds an EZ-Lift and Lower Tailgate, automatic locking rear differential, as well as a driver information center with a 4.2-inch display. Offered with the same engine options as the LS trim, the LT comes standard with a 40/20/40 split-bench seat with locking under-seat storage as well as a center storage console, and the steering wheel is leather-wrapped and features audio and cruise control functions.
At the top of the Silverado 1500’s most common trim levels lies the LTZ, the perfect balance of strength and sophistication. Offered with the choice of either the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 or a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, the LTZ can tow an astounding 12,000 pounds when properly equipped. Additionally, with amenities such as full-leather seating, a remote vehicle starter, the rear-vision camera system and a power-sliding rear window with a defogger, the LTZ offers all a driver could want and so much more. Meanwhile, the MyLink interface gets a larger 8-inch touchscreen in the LTZ, while a 110-volt home-style outlet makes for easy power when needed.
