The Chevy Traverse RS Adds Performance and Design Flair

What Comes With the 2018 Chevy Traverse RS?

Here on the Harbin Automotive blog, we always like to keep you up-to-date with the latest happenings from Chevy, and it appears we have something brand new to show off. It’s the Traverse RS, delivering thrilling performance and sensational styling to your SUV experience. So, what can you expect to come with the 2018 Chevy Traverse RS if you buy it? Well, allow us to run through all the exciting details.

To start, the Traverse RS will be based on the regular 2018 Traverse and its redesigned styling cues for the model year. Because of this, you’ll still be able to enjoy the same best-in-class maximum cargo room of 98.2 cubic feet.

2018 Chevy Traverse RS Performance and Design Specs

Let’s start under the hood of the Traverse RS. This particular model is the first Traverse to offer a turbocharged engine. It’s a direct-injected Ecotec 2.0-liter turbo engine that is capable of pumping out up to 257 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Better yet, 90% of that peak torque is available at a very low 2,100 rpm, making it ideal for real-world driving situations. With some help from the turbocharger, the Traverse RS is capable of up to 26 mpg highway and 20 mpg city despite having all that power.

Now, let’s talk about design. The Traverse RS is one good looking SUV, and the regular Traverse model certainly set a good basis for this. But if you choose the RS model, your vehicle will also be equipped with a sporty black grille and black window trim. The blackout trend continues with black roof rails and a subtle black bowtie logo. To finish it off, the RS has 20-inch aluminum wheels that are finished in a Dark Android color.
