How big is the 2019 Chevy Silverado truck bed?
The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck bed will be available in short box, standard box and long box sizes. All will be made with high-strength steel that will offer even more resistance to the abuse of the daily workload. All beds will be 22 inches deep. You can see length, and total cargo box space below:
- Short Box: 70 inches long, 63 cubic feet for cargo
- Standard Box: 79 inches long, 72 cubic feet for cargo
- Long Box: 98 inches long, 89 cubic feet for cargo
Short and standard box sizes are getting 10 cubic feet more cargo space than the 2018 model, while the long box has jumped from 75 cubic feet to 89 cubic feet.
The new Silverado will also be available with four different types of tailgate. A manual gate raised by arm strength and locked with a key is standard. Drivers can also enjoy a standard gate with Lift Assist (manually lockable), a powered lock and release tailgate, and powered up and down liftgate that can be opened or closed via keyfob or cabin controls.
