Does the 2019 Chevy Blazer have all-wheel drive?
Drivers who crave confident 4×4 driving on a crossover of any size can be delighted to know that many models of the 2019 Chevy Blazer will be available with all-wheel drive. We aren’t sure yet how many trims will offer this feature, but we know for sure that the RS and Premier models will be available with a sophisticated twin-clutch all-wheel drive technology. This system allows power to be transmitted to each rear wheel individually to give more control when cornering. This premium torque vectoring can offer more confidence in wet and icy driving conditions, but can also improve control on dry-weather turns.
Traction Select, which lets drivers customize vehicle handling for premium traction, will be standard on all models, not just 4×4-capable ones.
Engine Options on the 2019 Blazer
The 2019 Chevy Blazer will be available with two different engine options, both equipped with direct fuel injection and start-stop technology that can help conserve gas in stop-and-go city driving. The engine options on this all-new midsize crossover will be:
- 2.5-liter four-cylinder – 193 horsepower, 188 pound-feet of torque
- 3.6-liter V-6 – 305 horsepower, 269 pound-feet of torque (up to 4,500 pounds of towing when properly equipped)
Both of these engines come mated with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
