The 2019 Chevy Equinox will be available with three engine options, each of which offers different advantages and towing capacities. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine available on the LT and Premier trims of this compact crossover is rated for 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It offers the top towing on this model, with up to 3,500 pounds of trailering available when desired.
The 2019 Chevy Equinox is also available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated for 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque, and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that offers 137 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. Both of these powertrains offer up to 1,500 pounds of conventional trailering when properly equipped. Rear Space in the Equinox
The rear seat of the 2019 Chevy Equinox has a 60/40 split that makes it easy to fit plenty of cargo in the back. This model can hold up to 63.5 cubic feet of cargo with those rear seats completely folded down. Even filled with its full complement of five passengers, this compact crossover will offer 29.9 cubic feet for cargo.
