In just a few weeks, approximately 60,000 vendors and industry insiders will descend on Las Vegas for the 2015 edition of the Specialty Equipment Aftermarket Show, known to most as SEMA. As the only seller of Saleen products between Tennessee and Atlanta, this is an exciting time for us at Harbin Automotive, and is made even more exciting by the reveal of some 2016 Ford Explorer Special Editions for SEMA 2015. Let’s look at them, shall we?
2016 Ford Explorer Special Editions — SEMA 2015
Ford Explorer All Star Performance Sport
Shown above, the 2016 Ford Explorer All Star Performance Sport takes the baton from the standard Explorer and refines its offerings drastically. Exterior upgrades include a Traxda 2.5-inch lift, a Wurton LED light bar, a Thule Canyon carrier basket, Axalta custom paint, Toyo All-Terrain Tires and Baer performance brakes. On the inside, the All Star Performance Sport gets a custom suede/leather upholstery and a Sony-powered, theater-quality sound system.
Ford Explorer Sport “Wanderlust” from Cars by Kris
Shown below on the left, this truly captures the spirit of Wanderlust that it’s going for. The powertrain has been modified with new tuning from Leading Edge Tuning, while the new exhaust comes from CGS. The chassis has been lowered onto Toyo Proxes tires, while Wilwood 15-inch brakes have been added as well. The exterior gets Axalta Refinish Burnt Orange Metallic paint, while carbon fiber fittings have been added to the roof box, fender flares and to the body cladding. Inside, the Explorer gets Alea Leather Specialist upholstery, as well as a CT Sounds audio system.
MAD Industries Explorer Sport
Shown above in the center, this is possibly our favorite of all of the special editions. This edition has been lowered onto Niche Forged Alpine 24-inch wheels and Pirelli Scorpion tires. The intake and exhaust have been custom-made, while an Eibach Pro-Plus Performance handling package has been added as well. Meanwhile, the eye-catching Pure White and Black two-tone gives off a glamourous look, pairing nicely with the contrasting leather styles of the interior.

The Chassis has been lowered on Eibach springs onto Nitto Red-Line tires, sitting on B-Forged 20-inch wheels. The exterior has been painted Inca Gold with red stripes, while the powertrain has been fitted with Flowmaster exhaust and an Airaid cold air system. Inside, the seats get a Katzkin leather refinishing, along with Kicker speakers and amplifiers.
