2016 Chevy Suburban | Scottsboro AL
We recently went over the many charms of the 2016 Chevy Tahoe, which is set to arrive at Harbin Automotive in the coming days. Not far behind it will be the 2016 Chevy Suburban, a model that has thrived for seven decades as the finest example of full-size power, versatility and comfort. So, what should we expect for the new model year? Let’s get right into the good stuff, and when we’re done, we’ll give you an opportunity to schedule your test drive!
Bring all your friends. You can’t describe the 2016 Chevy Suburban properly without talking about its cavernous interior cabin, which is draped in top-notch upholstery materials throughout and offers comfortable seating for up to eight adult occupants. The cabin is quiet, due to acoustic-laminated doors, inlaid doors with triple seals and exterior/interior dash insulation. The 2nd and 3rd rows quickly fold flat with the push of a button, revealing up to 121.1 cubic feet of cargo volume.
So much power. Obviously, if you’re carrying eight people or a truck full of stuff, you’d better have some power to push it. Not surprisingly, the Suburban certainly has that. The 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 delivers 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, resulting in an 8,300-pound towing capacity when properly equipped. Then, since it uses Direct Injection, Variable Valve Timing and Active Fuel Management, it rewards you with up to 23 highway mpg on top of it! Pretty amazing, if you ask us.

Awesome technology. We like to advertise the Suburban as “vacation-ready,” and a look at its technology certainly reflects this notion. The new Driver Information Center and Head-Up Display allows users to see all the facts while driving, right in their line of sight. There is also now an available Rear-Seat Entertainment System with Blu-Ray to keep passengers pacified, while new wireless charging lets you cut the cord when the battery gets low. And this is all in addition to the returning 4G LTE WiFi hotspot and Chevy MyLink interface, which allow easy connection for streaming audio and phone connectivity.
Terrific safety. Given the outsized importance of its mission, it should come as little surprise that the 2016 Chevy Suburban takes great pains to keep its passengers safe. The Suburban is constructed using a high-strength steel safety cage with seven airbags, and employs available OnStar Automatic Crash Response system to assist when accidents occur. Rounding out the Suburban’s excellent safety features is the three-pronged crash-mitigation tech package, which offers side blind zone alert, lane keep assist and front park assist to keep accidents from happening.
Does that sound like a full-size SUV that has your needs, lifestyle and safety at heart? If so, we’d love to show it to you when it arrives. Schedule your test drive in the 2016 Chevy Suburban below!
