Corvette Stingray Powertrain
The 2016 Chevy Corvette Stingray will burst off the line with a zero-to-sixty sprint of just 3.7 seconds, courtesy of its 6.2L LT1 V8 engine. Buyers may pair their Stingray with either a 7-speed manual transmission with active rev matching or the available 8-speed paddle-shift automatic. It roars with the authority of up to 460 hp and up to 465 lb-ft of torque, and retains its balance and rigidity all through travel due to its distinctive rear transaxle layout.
Obviously, due to its authoritative powertrain, it’s important that it knows how to slow down and handle as well. The Corvette Stingray now features standard Brembo brakes that pair with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Zero Pressure tires to enhance grippiness and stopping power. It also offers Standard Magnetic Ride technology, which stiffens the suspension without sacrificing smoothness during travel.
