2015 Red Mustang“It is the heart and soul of Ford”

Those were the words of Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, as he described the newly unveiled 2015 Ford Mustang.

As the most iconic name in the brand and one of the most legendary names in the automotive industry, the Mustang put pony cars on the map 50 years ago and continues to set the standard in that space today. As the Mustang enters its sixth generation and experiences its first  full redesign since 2005, there is little doubt that the 2015 Ford Mustang in Alabama will be among the most popular cars of the year.

While the 2015 Mustang remains true to its American muscle heritage, it received modern styling cues that make it fit nicely within the Ford lineup while also standing out as one of the most prestigious cars on the road.

2015 Ford Mustang Rear“We crafted this car with the goal of creating a contemporary interpretation of Mustang – an American automotive icon that symbolizes optimism and freedom for millions of people around the world,” said Jim Farley, executive vice president of Ford global marketing, sales and service and Lincoln.

In terms of powertrain options, the 2015 Ford Mustang in Alabama will be available with more powerful versions of the V-6 and V-8 that were available in the previous generation, however, there is a surprise – a 2.5-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine. That doesn’t mean you should expect much of a dip in performance. While power figures aren’t available, the EcoBoost engine will deliver the performance dynamics Mustang owners expect while also reaching new levels of fuel economy.

2015 Ford Mustang InteriorIn our humble opinion, it’s nice to see Ford utilize EcoBoost technology in the Mustang. In an age where fuel-economy becomes increasingly important to drivers, it makes sense to take advantage of progressive engineering and give Mustang fans more choices.

Inside the 2015 Ford Mustang in Alabama, there is more cutting-edge technology and plenty of performance-friendly gadgets to appeal to those looking to get every last drop of performance from the pony car. With available Selectable Drive Modes, drivers can utilize toggle switches to adjust steering, engine response, and stability control, drivers are in complete control behind the wheel. With features like Ford Sync, MyKey, and push button start on every Mustang model, drivers will be engaged throughout the trim lineup.
