2015 Ford Expedition Huntsville
Well, that certainly didn’t take long. In our last post, we mentioned that rumors had begun to circulate that Ford would be making changes to the Expedition for the 2015 model year, and right on cue, the rumors have been confirmed. With plans to be debuted during the Dallas Auto Show, the 2015 Ford Expedition near Huntsville has been revealed, and let’s just say, we are impressed.
The first snap judgementsof the 2015 edition are unsurprisingly related to its newly redesigned exterior, which has received a new three-bar front grille, more prominent exterior lines, and different tail lamps. The available Platinum package–similar to what is currently offered on Ford’s F-Series pickups–will also feature 22-inch wheels, and French-stitched Brunello leather interior.
The bulk of the circus surrounding the 2015 Expedition in Dallas will be related not to any style changes, but rather to the 2015’s change from the 5.4-liter V-8 to the turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 currently found in the F-150. The switch to the turbo V-6 is expected to produce an additional 55 horsepower and vastly improved fuel economy.
A question that is sure to be addressed, and which we will continually be updating as well, is whether or not the 2015 Expedition will receive the same lightweight aluminum body panels as its F-150 sibling. This would further improve fuel economy, a development sure to excite Ford drivers who are already looking ahead to this model.
The Dallas Auto Show is undoubtedly looking ahead to this model as well. While the Dallas Auto Show isn’t famous for vehicle debuts, the reason for this one is pretty obvious: Texas accounts for almost 40% of large SUV sales nationwide, and a large number of ten-gallon hats are sure to be in attendance.
The 2015 Expedition will go on sale at Harbin Auto in Scottsboro, conveniently close to Huntsville and Chattanooga, later this year. To schedule a test drive, contact us at Harbin Auto, and keep checking back for further updates on your favorite models!
