2015 Ford Edge Revealed
Time to clean out that extra stall in the garage, kiddos. After setting showrooms on fire with its first incarnation, the Ford Edge has been fully redesigned for 2015. Smoother lines, a more rear-sweeping look…it all looks fantastic. So let’s take a close inspection, shall we?
Ladies and gents, the 2015 Ford Edge!
Expected to arrive at Harbin Automotive in the first part of next year, the Edge gets a comprehensive restyling for the new model year. And while its predecessor is certainly visible underneath the sexy new veneer, we must say, we like the new direction Ford is taking. From the blacked-out rims to the dark roof panels, everything looks incredibly sleek, stylewise.
Under the hood, we’ve received word that the 2015 Edge will be the first of Ford’s vehicles to receive an EcoBoost engine as standard. The revised 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder will be the base level powertrain, offering a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds and all-wheel-drive availability. Also available will be a 3.5L V6 capable of 285 horsepower, and the line will top out with the Sport-only 2.7 twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, offering somewhere in the neighborhood of 320 horsepower.
Inside the new 2015 Ford Edge, we can expect it to be much roomier than the previous model, with Ford reporting a 5-percent increase in passenger space and a 7-percent increase in cargo room. The interior of the upper level trims also receives chrome highlights throughout the more spacious cabin, and stylistic flourishes are now more pronounced on all trims.
Have we got you excited? Believe us, we are too. Although it’s making a fashionably late entrance in waiting until after the first year to join us at Harbin Auto, we are completely certain that it’ll be worth the wait. Keep posted to the Harbin Auto blog for further details!
